Overall Purpose/Objective
Of the job
|
Overall
responsibility for ensuring that the centre is provided with a safe and
secure environment. Responsible for ensuring safety and security of people
(customers, retailers, employees etc.), materials, physical assets/infrastructure
both inside and outside the centre. Also, responsible for crisis management
and be the first response for any emergency situation.

Key Responsibilities

- Set safety
standards in line with corporate standards, and regularly update policies and
procedures to be followed at the Centre along with authorization and
escalation levels defined
- Formulate
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and train different contingency teams
such as Emergency Response Team (ERT), Fire Fighting Board, Evacuation Team,
Medical Team, etc. to handle any emergency situation as may arise at the
Center
- Design, modify
and regularly update the security manual to include all aspects of safety and
security and ensure communication of the same to all retailers, internal
departments, vendors, contract agencies, etc.
- Liaison with
various regulatory authorities/ government agencies (such as police, fire
department, RTO, courts, Security Guard Board, National Security Guards
(NSG), municipal corporation, etc to maintain a safe and secure environment
at the Centre
- Design the
schedule for all the safety and security audits to be conducted as mandated
by statutory guidelines, review the audits reports to identify the areas of
non-compliance and take action accordingly
- Responsible for
making special security arrangements in case of any events/ promotions/
marketing initiatives happening in the mall
- Ensure physical
safety and provide proximity protection for employees and visitors in case of
any emergency and adherence to defined security guidelines and norms by all
staff, contractor agencies and retailers at the Center
- Review and
approve location-wise manpower deployment
schedule and security equipment requirements proposed by the Agency
- Draft the scope
document and technical capability requirements for employing outsourced
security agencies and also assist in identifying and evaluating private
security agencies and finalize the same
- Ensure all
safety related equipments are in working order at all times and all
repair/ PPM of equipment’s happen as
per schedule
- Review and
analyze the various security reports on a regular basis and take measures for
resolving issues and identify measures to enhance the robustness of the
security and safety operations at the Center
- Ensure regular
Training & Audit should be conducted including FLS
- Design and
ensure the conduct of safety mock drills to ensure all employees are aware of
the safety procedures in case of any
emergency
- Monitor
the expenses (both capital and operational expenditure) of the function
against the assigned budget and ensure compliance
